Contrary to popular knowledge, Immortal has released only one demo, and it'suntitled.The first source of confusion is the cover, which was drawn by Dead (Mayhem).The name of the drawing is "The Northern Upir's Death". Even that drawing iscommonly misnamed, mistaken by "The Northern Upins Death". An Upir is a type ofvampire from Slavic folklore.The artwork of this demo was also re-used when the cassette promos for theImmortal EP were released.This demo is also often called "Suffocate", "Suffocate the Masses".It seems that some copies of this demo were released with a "Outro", as shownin the tracklist.

Those Whom the Gods Detest is the sixth studio album by American death metal band Nile. The album will be released on November 3, 2009, in North America, and on November 6, 2009, in Europe through Nuclear Blast. It was produced and mixed by Neil Kernon, with Erik Rutan handling the drum production.The cover artwork, a depiction of the Egyptian Pharaoh Akhenaten, a possible reference to the album's title and the Pharaoh's unpopular religious reforms, was brought to realization this time around by Michal "Xaay" Loranc, whom Karl Sander’s had previously worked with on his second solo record Saurian Exorcisms.According to a post on the band's message board, they are planning to release a "making of" documentary covering the rehearsals, preproduction and studio sessions of the album. Liner notes featured in the album booklet, written by Karl Sanders, to explain the concept behind the songs, will also see their return on this album. They were previously featured on the albums Black Seeds of Vengeance, In Their Darkened Shrines and Annihilation of the Wicked.As of September 24, 2009, the track 'Permitting the Noble Dead to Descend to the Underworld' has been made available for streaming on the band's myspace page.
